Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course – Original
This course prepares students to recognize and provide care for cardiac emergencies. Through instruction and active participation in case-based scenarios, students enhance their skills in the diagnosis and treatment of prearrest, arrest and post-arrest patients. It is a two-year certification recommended for nurses, physicians, paramedics and other healthcare professionals requiring ACLS certification.
 Two sessions: Students must attend both, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m./8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $150.00 (No charge for MAS employees)
Payment: Due the day of the class or pay online. Cash, check or credit card accepted.
Text: ACLS Provider Manual (15-1005 – $42.00) through Mohawk Ambulance or laerdal.com. Students must have the book available before, during and after class.
Class size is limited. Please be on time for class. Due to the amount of content covered, students will not be permitted to participate in a class that has already started.
NOTE: A score of 84% or better on the pretest is required and must be submitted at the beginning of the course. The pretest can be found at www.heart.org/eccstudent, password is acls15. Make sure to take the pretest on a computer that can print the results as results cannot be saved to print at a later time.

A two-year certification recommended for nurses, physicians, paramedics/Critical Care Technicians and other healthcare professionals needing to renew their current ACLS certification. To take this course, a current ACLS card is required.
