SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Just after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, one of our vehicles was involved in an accident while transporting a patient along Western Turnpike in Duanesburg. Our vehicle went off the road while traveling eastbound, striking a tree. Following this accident, the patient being transported tragically passed away.

McPartlon, III, president, Mohawk Ambulance Service. “Safety and patient care remain our top priority and we commit to holding our employees to the highest standards. We are working in full cooperation with law enforcement and together our agencies are investigating what happened surrounding this terrible event.â€
The two Mohawk Ambulance employees in the vehicle at the time of the accident are currently being treated for injuries also sustained as a result of the accident. Their identities and condition will not be released. Please note that due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot release any information regarding the patient involved.
